Today is Veterans Day in the US, and it’s great to see people posting comments honoring those who serve to protect our country.
They are men, women, transgender, and all races, colors and creeds. They all share one thing in common: a commitment to serve the nation.

In 2011, G4 had a terrific show called “Bomb Patrol Afghanistan”, and it showed the daily lives of our military in that country. In this case, we followed members of a United States Navy EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) unit (Platoon 3-4-2) as they hunted for and dismantled explosives.

Today, various parts of California are facing horrendous fires, with 25 deaths so far and thousands of buildings and homes destroyed.

The TV images show firefighters battling these fires, putting their lives at risk. Add to that the EMTs, Paramedics, police and more – battling to save homes and lives.
We can see heroes all around us, and it important to honor them as well – not on one day, but all days as well…
